Happy Friday everyone! Winter has definitely set in here in NJ. I had to laugh because I’ve seen a few people post on Facebook “of course it’s cold, it’s January” — this has always been a pet peeve of mine when people complain of winter temps or snow in the winter. Especially those who live in a northern state.
Anyway, I opted to do the current MFT color challenge yesterday. Prior to the holidays, I picked up the Quilt Square cover-up with the intention of doing a special project with it, but never made it. I fished it out to use on the color challenge, which is a great way to tackle a color challenge, if you overthink them, like me.

The Quilt Square saved me so much time, even though you do need a bit of time to arrange your pieces! The current color challenge is Lemon Drop, Tropical Teal, Limelight and Persimmon. Fortunately, I picked up some of the new card stock colors from MFT, but I didn’t have the Persimmon so I substituted Orange Fizz. Such a vibrant color combo! I cut each color with the die and once in white. I glued down my frame and then set my colors out, glued them down and stamped my sentiment. Voila! Better yet is that I can make an additional 4 cards with the leftover bits.
Happy Birthday: MFT Quilt Square Cover Up, Celebrate Big, Lemon Drop, Tropical Teal, Limelight, Orange Fizz, Steel Grey hybrid ink; PTI white card stock
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
